Robeam has in one way or another been involved in designing and building web based environments for the past 10 years.

Robeam believes in visual design and understands User Centered Design techniques and good User Experience practices. Robeam believes that building the front-end of a web project is as important as the design phase.

Who is Robeam?

Robeam is the company name for Adam Robertson not Rob!. The name Robeam comes from the first four letters of his surname and then his first two initials, it is also a flower and a laser!

Adam graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 1999 with a degree in Graphic Communication / Information Design. He spent the first 3 years of his career designing web sites for agencies in London. Most notably he was part of an award winning team at Nykris Digital Design, picking up 5 BIMA Awards in 2001.

It was not long after this that Adam decided that he enjoyed the process of building web sites more than the visual design. So he began to take his career in this direction and slowly became a fan of the Semantic Web.

At this point Adam started to study (X)HTML, CSS & Javascript. He is an advocate for standards and believes in graceful degradation & progressive enhancement where possible. He believes that the code behind a web site should have as much effort in its creation as the visual design.

Adam has a deep understanding of client side technologies, coupled with a solid knowledge of server side technologies this makes him a vital link between interface and production.
